Fatal off-road crash occurs in Lenawee County
ADRIAN — An off-road vehicle crash Saturday night in Lenawee County resulted in a fatality, according to a Michigan State Police. Evidence at the 7464 Scott Highway scene in Blissfield Township led investigators to believe the driver lost control of the Honda side-by-side in a field, causing the vehicle to roll over multiple times. The unnamed 33-year-old man was transported to ProMedica Hickman Hospital “where he was pronounced dead from his injuries,” authorities said. An unnamed passenger sustained minor injuries and was evaluated at the same hospital.

Longtime Clay softball coach Brenda Radabaugh is nearing 600 career victories, Evergreen senior softball catcher Macy Chamberlin has a shot at Ohio's career home run record of 60, and Ottawa Hills senior lacrosse attacker Reece Hill is approaching the state record of 214 career goals. Radabaugh, who is in her 32nd season as a head coach, has posted an overall 597-232 record, including 444-174 in 22-plus seasons at Clay (2001-24). Adrian murder case to stay in Lenawee County Circuit Court
ADRIAN — A murder case against a man accused of taking part in a shooting that killed another man in February 2023 in Adrian will proceed in Lenawee County Circuit Court. Circuit Judge Michael R. Olsaver on Wednesday denied a motion to quash the bindover from Lenawee County District Court of open murder and firearms charges against Kenyatto Tiwaine Sylvertooth, 48, of Detroit. Sylvertooth and Gage Michael Winsett, 18, of Adrian are each charged in the death of 27-year-old Jonathan Marquise Simmons of Detroit. Simmons was shot in an exchange of gunfire between two vehicles on the afternoon of Feb. 13, 2023, near the intersection of South Tecumseh and Frank streets.
