Lenawee County Athlete of the Week for April 22-27

There were a lot of great performances across Lenawee County high school sports this week, narrowing down the player of the week ballot to only 12 was difficult.

Drew Spink, Addison baseball

Spink picked up three wins on the mound this week, giving him 24 all-time which sets the Panthers all-time record.

In total, he tossed 12 innings this week, giving up two runs and seven hits while striking out 11. He also had six hits with seven RBIs and a double at the plate.

Laci Patterson, Addison softball

The Panthers have struggled this season, but Laci Patterson has been a bright spot and she shone bright this week.

Of her six hits this week, three were home runs and another was for a double as she drove in 10 runs and crossed home seven times herself.

Molly Brown, Addison track

The Panthers won the Leslie Invite on Saturday with Brown leading the way on the track and also had a strong showing in Addison's dual competition this week.

Brown won the 100-meter dash twice this week with her best time at 12.93 while also winning the high hurdles twice with a top time of 15.52 and the intermediate hurdles once at 46.44.

Carson Ritz, Adrian golf

Ritz had a solid week on the links, shooting a 78 at the Saline Invite and then shot a 36 at the Ypsilanti Lincoln tri-meet.

Peyton Tennant, Blissfield track

Tennant's athleticism was on full display as she threw, jumped and ran for event wins in the Royals LCAA dual this week.

Tennant won the shot put (31-feet-5-inches), high jump (4-8), the intermediate hurdles (1:01.36) and anchored the 4x200 (2:00.49).

Raven Aldridge, Clinton softball

Aldridge brough the power for the Redwolves this week as she helped Clinton go 5-1.

Aldridge drove in 11 runs this week off eight hits, two of which were home runs and another two were doubles.

Aubrey Lauer, Clinton soccer

Lauer continued to lead the Redwolves soccer team in goals as she had two big games and Clinton went 2-1.

Lauer scored eight goals against Onsted and netted five goals against Hillsdale, giving her 13 on the week.

Taylor Kopin, Hudson softball

Kopin helped the Tigers remain unbeaten in LCAA play and added two wins against Sand Creek with her bat.

Kopin had seven hits this week, two were home runs and one was a triple as she drove in seven runs and plated four herself.

Easton Boggs, Lenawee Christian track

Boggs showed off his skill set as he won three field events and added a relay win in the Cougars TCC dual win.

Boggs won the shot put (37-2), discus (139-3) and high jump (4-8) while also leading off the 4x200 (1:53.1).

Gigi Masters, Lenawee Christian track, soccer

Masters continues her outstanding season by winning the 100 (13:54), 200 (28.04) and helped win the 4x100 (56.14) and 4x200 (1:59.0) was the second runner and leadoff runner.

Masters also scored two goals for the soccer team in a 5-0 win against Napoleon.

Lucas Dopp, Madison golf

Dopp was the medalist in the first LCAA jamboree of the season at Dundee.

Dopp began the LCAA season by shooting a 37.

Max Bledsoe, Tecumseh baseball

Bledsoe has been a big part of Tecumseh's early-season turnaround as the team is 8-6 and 5-0 in the SEC White after starting 0-6.

Bledsoe recorded 10 hits with two doubles, eight RBIs and seven runs and also picked up a win on the mound.
