Two candidates are challenging the current longest-serving Lenawee County commissioner for the Republican Party nomination in District 8. Ralph Tillotson of Adrian Township has represented District 8 for almost 25 years. This year, Meghan Van Dame and Matthew Witte, both of Raisin Township, are running against Tillotson in the Aug. 6 primary election to represent the district, which covers Raisin Township and the eastern part of Adrian Township east of Wisner Highway and south of Robbins Road.

It’s Senior Citizen Day At The Fair Today
Adrian, MI – Today is Senior Citizen Day at the Lenawee County Fair. Highlights of the day include: the Onsted Line Dancers performing at 4 pm and the Warehouse Cloggers at 5:30 pm at the bandshell. The City of Adrian band will perform at 7 pm at the bandshell as well. Closing the night at the bandshell will be the band Part Time at 8:30 pm. All activities and performances at the bandshell are free with fair entrance.
Adrian pastor accused of molesting 2 boys gets new court date
ADRIAN — An attorney for a retired Adrian pastor accused of molesting two boys was given more time Monday to gather information to determine how to proceed with the case. Highlights for the day include the Cardio Drumming Demo at the Bandshell at 1 pm; a pie baking contest at 3 pm, also at the bandshell.
