New waste management trucks causing route delays
BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - Public Works added two new garbage trucks to its waste management fleet. But what they bought wasn’t what they wanted. Bismarck Director of Public Works for Service Operations Steve Salwei said they ordered the trucks a few years ago, but because of COVID, the manufacturer wasn’t able to deliver them until now. But the specific trucks the city wanted aren’t being made right now. The ones they received don’t have the rear-loading feature they need for picking up extra trash beside trash cans.
