Disturbing: Skeletal Remains Found Near Menoken, North Dakota
Menoken, North Dakota has been the site of disturbing activities the last few autumns. A listener of mine who farms out by Menoken, North Dakota told me about something disturbing. Somebody or something has been seen near the town dressed as the very scary clown from the movie "It." Not only that but skeletal remains have been seen near the town as well. More on that in a moment.
In Bismarck – 31 Days And Counting – Beware
My favorite time of year by the way - we are done with the summer heat, and no snow as of yet ( knock on wood ) - so NOW it's time to start focusing on the real scary events coming to Bismarck this month. Today is October 1st, and we are suppossed to see weather in the mid-80s. By next Sunday the temps will drop almost 30 degress, NO this isn't the scary part - it's typical North Dakota as we all know it, and weather can be frightening in a blink of an eye. For 31 days Bismarck and Mandan will try to out-spook others in events - one of them though is my favorite.

Last Month Mandan Lost A Friend-Is This Happening In Bismarck?
We all have our go-to places that make us feel good, greet us with a smile, and make us feel right at home. This place was it for me. In Mandan, I would try and go by at least once every two weeks - they knew me by name and always took the time to ask how my day was going - just a textbook-friendly, local place. I remember many times engaging in conversation with the manager, One of the employees would always make it a point to drop by the window and genuinely ask me how my food was from the last time I drove by.

BISMARCK, N.D. (KFYR) - A parking lot at one Bismarck church was filled with community and service to help those in need. McCabe United Methodist Church held its sixth annual free clothing giveaway on Saturday. The giveaway helps people in the Bismarck community who are in need of clothing. Kris Cleary, the coordinator of the clothing giveaway, says this originally started because members of the church wanted to donate clothes and didn’t have a place to give them. Their church is in a neighborhood that needs a lot, so they paired both needs. There were clothes for men, women and children.

A Sad Goodbye For One Of Bismarck’s Animal Shelters
It is always so sad to see an amazing place like this coming to a close. It's Pretty hard to take a couple of seconds and think about all the volunteers and people around Bismarck and Mandan who have given their love and support to this animal shelter. One of the difficult things I just read was the REAL struggle it has been to have enough volunteers to come forward and lend a hand. Tails of the Midwest Animal Shelter just recently announced that it would be closing its doors for good.
