BISMARCK, ND ( KXNET ) — We’re hearing more about a woman who admitted to using illegal drugs with a child in the car.

Last month, Cassandra Sun was charged with child neglect and drug charges after police received a call about a suspicious vehicle located in the Sleep Inn parking lot in Bismarck.

Upon arriving at the scene, an officer saw Sun yelling and flailing her arms in the vehicle and discovered Sun had fentanyl pills, drug paraphernalia, and a three-year-old child with her.

On May 20, Sun was supposed to appear in court for a preliminary hearing — but she did not show up. The judge ordered a bench warrant for her arrest, and she will now have her bond increased to $10,000 cash.

As of right now, Sun is scheduled for a felony jury trial in August.
