Body found in Genesee River near Turning Point Park; investigation underway
A body was found in the Genesee River near Turning Point Park in Rochester Thursday evening, according to Rochester police. Lt. Jeremy Robinson of the Rochester Police Department said that emergency responders were called to the park at 6:50 p.m., after a body was spotted in the water. Rochester police officers and firefighters confirmed that the person was dead and removed the body, who was taken to the Monroe County Medical Examiner's Office to be evaluated.

Webster man pleads guilty to deadly hit-and-run crash
A Webster man pleaded guilty for causing a hit-and-run crash that killed a cyclist in Webster last summer. Ryan Laduca, 36, pleaded guilty last week to leaving the scene of an accident that resulted in a person's death and tampering with physical evidence, both felonies, according to the Monroe County District Attorney's Office.
