1 person dies; car engulfed in flames after crash near Lake Ontario State Parkway in Greece
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — One person died and a car was engulfed in flames in a crash near Lake Ontario State Parkway and Manitou Beach Road in Greece on Thursday. It appears that the driver was going westbound and crossed over, flipped, and the car landed on its nose. The Lake Shore Fire Department was at the scene. New York State Police is investigating the crash.

Shon Todd gets 50 years to life for killing woman, burning home
ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A 50-year-old man who stabbed a woman to death at her home and then set the building on fire was sentenced to 50 years to life in prison. Shon Todd had been convicted by a jury of second-degree murder and second-degree arson in the death of Lysandra Bagley, 37. Rochester firefighters found her body, charred beyond recognition, when they responded to a house fire on Garson Avenue on May 21, 2023. It was determined that she died of multiple stab wounds before the fire.

Both men arrested in a deadly drive-by shooting from a stolen car have pleaded guilty today to 1st-degree manslaughter. 27-year-old Kirsean Chatfield and 18-year-old Keyvin Miller were originally charged with murder and gun crimes in the shooting death of 21-year-old Eric Martin on Dewey Avenue in May of last year.
