Meteor showers expected Sunday night
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - The Eta Aquarid shower is active from mid April to the end of May, but will peak in visibility from May 5-6. A meteor shower occurs when Earth passes through the path of a comet. Some of the debris from that comet creates streaks as they burn up in Earth’s atmosphere. The debris that is burnt up creates meteors.
Woman stabbed in Fitchburg bar parking lot
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - A woman was stabbed in a Fitchburg bar parking lot early Friday morning, leaving a ‘significant’ wound, the Fitchburg Police Department said. A fight in the parking lot of Monkeyshines Bar & Grill on McKee Rd. ended when another woman allegedly stabbed the 39-year-old around 1:45 a.m., FPD explained.

MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - McFarland Police say a two-year-old and four-month-old were found in the backseat of a car that crashed after a man drove off from officers on Friday.
