Testimony begins in trial of Madison man accused in toddler’s killing
MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Testimony began Tuesday in the trial of a Madison man accused of killing a 20-month-old baby girl and abusing the child’s mother. Marshawn Giles faces 18 charges, including the felonies of first-degree intentional homicide, first-degree child sex assault with a person under 13 causing great bodily harm, second-degree sexual assault with use of force.

The Wisconsin Policy Forum analyzed federal data which suggests that homelessness rose nearly 2% between 2022 and 2023 in the state. The data shows that homelessness rates dropped in some places like Dane County, but rose slightly in others like Milwaukee and Racine counties.
