Monticello High School junior Addison Kiphuth recently joined the 100-point club with the girls’ lacrosse team. On Thursday, April 18, Kiphuth scored three goals and added three assists during a 15-5 win over Becker to become the fifth girl in program history to reach 100 career points. She joined the exclusive club in just her 28th game with the Magic.
PREP BOYS GOLF: Delano keeps on rolling during busy stretch
BECKER – After a strong start to the season in conference play, the Delano boys golf team returned to action in another 18-hole meet competing at the Bulldog Invite at Pebble Creek Golf Course April 18. Going up against 14 other teams, Delano finished in a tie for seventh place with a team score of 345. Waconia claimed the team title posting a team score of 314 while Detroit Lakes took second and St. Cloud Cathedral finished third.
STMA approves boys’ volleyball as high school sport
The St. Michael-Albertville School Board approved adding boys’ volleyball as a school-supported activity at the April 15 Board meeting. As a result of the Minnesota State High School League approving boys’ volleyball as a fully sanctioned activity for the 2024-25 school year, many school districts across the state have approved adding boys’ volleyball to its list of school sports. Monticello boys’ golf is playing with a purpose. On Monday, the Magic hosted a Mississippi 8 Conference Meet and tied Chisago Lakes for the top spot on the leaderboard after both teams shot 310 on the day.
