YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (WKBN) — A man convicted in federal court for selling methamphetamine was sentenced Tuesday.

Chantell Daniel was sentenced to 40 months in prison. He will also be on probation for two years when he gets out.

Daniel pleaded guilty in January to three counts of distribution of methamphetamine.

The court also addressed a bond violation against Daniel that was filed in March. According to court records, Daniel admitted to using marijuana and failing to notify the pretrial officer of law enforcement contact. He was found in violation of the bond.

The court record did not list a punishment but indicated that Daniel’s bond was continued as previously ordered and that he would self-report for service of his sentence as directed by the Bureau of Prisons.

An indictment against Daniel was unsealed Aug. 9, 2023. charging him with selling methamphetamine on May 23, May 30 and June 23. The indictment did not say where those sales took place, only that they were in the Northern District of Ohio.
