Authorities in Easton are searching for suspects after a 19-year-old was shot on a city street Thursday evening, police announced. The man was found at the corner of 10th and Lehigh streets around 5:30 p.m. Thursday, after police were dispatched to a shooting scene nearby, Easton Police said. He was transported to an area hospital for treatment of wounds that are not believed to be life-threatening, police said.

Lehigh County man accused of raping 19-year-old he met on dating app
A Hanover Township, Lehigh County man is accused of raping a 19-year-old woman he met on an online dating app. Lorens DeJesus Gomez, 22, of the 500 block of Cedar Hill Drive, also is charged with felony intercepting communications. Karen J. Schular, the public defender assigned to Gomez, didn’t immediately return a request for comment Wednesday morning.
