LETTER: Teacher, taxpayer says vote ‘yes’, then demand change
I am a Harwood Union teacher and also a homeowner. I am writing to urge you all to vote for the revised school budget on April 30 – but that's only the first step. We need to do more than vote "yes" because we are in the midst of a crisis that will not go away until we go to Montpelier and maybe even Washington.

Barre City disturbance call leads to drug bust, 4 arrests
A report of a fight at an apartment in Barre City has led to a drug bust and four arrests. The Barre City Police say the report came in at about 2:00 p.m. Friday. When officers arrived on South Main Street, they were told one of the men involved had a rifle in his possession. Police were also told there was a group of men in a stairwell.
Suspect sought in Hardwick shooting; victim hospitalized
Hardwick, VT- After a shooting on Hillside Street left one man injured police are searching for a suspect. Police say a man called around 4 p.m. Tuesday to report he had been shot inside a home on Hillside Street. When officers arrived, he was the only one in the house and the suspected shooter had fled from the scene.

MONTPELIER, Vt. (WCAX) - April is National Poetry Month, and it is the perfect time to visit Montpelier, which transforms into PoemCity for the entire month.
