5 charged in kidnap and killing following probe in Luzerne County

Luzerne County DA Sam Sanguedolce announced that 5 people have been arrested in connection with the human remains found in a basement in Wilkes Barre at 142 Carlisle Street. Police say the 5 are behind bars in various locations. Investigators say Faith Beamer, Sarai Doyle, Desiree Linnette, Jason Race, and William Wolfe tortured and killed Nicole Cuevas before burying her body in the basement of the home along Carlisle Street back in April of 2023. Police say Cuevas travelled to the area with one of the suspects thinking they were a friend. Police say she was tortured for weeks before being killed. Authorities also say they have identified the remains found in the wooded area behind that Motel off route 309 recently. They are of Deborah Fox, a previous owner of the Carlisle Street property. They do not believe she had anything to do with Cuevas’s murder. Fox’s death is still being investigated. We’ll have more information as it becomes available.
