WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Police Department said a suspect wanted in Wednesday’s Wells Fargo Bank robbery has been identified and taken into custody.

It happened at around 11:30 a.m. at 455 S. West St., at the intersection of Taft and West Street.

According to WPD Public Information Officer Andrew Ford, a man walked into the bank, approached a teller, and announced the robbery.

“The male indicated to the teller that he had a weapon, but one was not presented. At that time, the teller did comply with the robber’s demands and gave him an undetermined amount of currency,” said Ford.

Wichita police released a photo of the suspect following the robbery.
