WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) - Wichita police have arrested an 18-year-old suspect in connection to a shooting that injured four teenagers earlier this month. Sedgwick County Jail records show Travon Johnson was booked Thursday for three counts of aggravated assault, four counts of aggravated battery, five counts of criminal damage to property, failure to appear, and a hold on a 2023 juvenile case.

WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH/Gray News) - A man in Kansas faces more than a decade in prison after he was convicted of torturing and dismembering cats. The Sedgwick County District’s Attorney Office said 31-year-old Logan Cavender, of Wichita, was found guilty of 10 counts of felony cruelty to animals, two counts of misdemeanor stalking and one count of misdemeanor breach of privacy.
Man accused of stabbing his grandmother in Augusta, police say
AUGUSTA, Kan. (KAKE) - A man has been charged with attempted first-degree murder after allegedly stabbing his 70-year-old grandmother last Friday. Around 2 p.m. on July 19, Augusta police were dispatched to the report of a stabbing in the 400 block of West Augusta. They arrived to find the woman in serious condition. She was transported to a Wichita hospital and is expected to recover.
