Family seeks damages for boys who passed away in Sun Prairie retention pond
SUN PRAIRIE, Wis. (WMTV) - The family of the two boys who passed away earlier this year in a Sun Prairie retention pond are seeking damages from the city. Officials responded around 3:20 p.m. Friday, Jan. 5, to a retention pond near S. Thompson Road, in Sun Prairie, after it was reported two children fell through the ice. Kiana Sims, mother of the two boys, said they had just gotten off their school bus at the Wildwood Apartments when 6-year-old Antwon Amos Jr. fell through the ice.

SCHOOL'S OUT! Usually that brings excitement of summer adventures and vacations, but for many in our community it means more of a burden on there already tight budgets. With no school, that means kids are home all day using up more essentials like hand soap, toilet paper and other personal care needs. Let's help our neighbors in need so they can worry less about where they are going to get toilet paper and more about what summer fun they have in store. Donate to our School's Out Community Care Drive May 13th - June 6th. You can drop off items at any St. Vincent de Paul location in Madison or at Monk's Bar and Grill in Middleton and Sun Prairie. In preparation for our drive check out the list of needed items below and stock up to donate starting May 13th!
