Minimal damage to Shawnee Township residence after fire
SHAWNEE TOWNSHIP — A Sunday afternoon fire cause an estimated $10,000 to a residential structure in Shawnee Township. According to Austin Miller, chief of the Shawnee Township Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched shortly after 2:30 p.m. Sunday to 4057 Odema Drive in reference to a structure fire. Miller said smoke was visible as firefighters arrived. Upon entry inside the home, firefighters observed a fire on the ground floor of the dwelling. A hole was cut to allow firemen to access the crawl space, and the fire was extinguished.
