BREWER - No. 1 Penobscot Valley softball won their first Class D North title since 2019 on Tuesday, defeating No. 6 Woodland 4-3 in a comeback effort. The Howlers took an early 1-0 lead with an Emma Potter RBI single that brought home Lauren Veino. Woodland then tied it up at 1 in the top of the second as Lydia Cropley scored on an error. The Dragons would plate two runs in the top of the fifth to make it 3-1.
