Mayor’s office declared vacant
UPDATE: The mayor’s office of the City of Canton has been declared as vacant on Wednesday, following no withdrawal of Lou Ann Berry’s resignation letter last week. According to the city and our news partner KETK, Berry submitted her resignation letter on Oct. 26, which would become effective on Nov. 3 if there was no withdrawal.

The National Rifle Association is demanding that Dallas lawyer William Brewer and his firm, Brewer Attorneys & Counselors, repay $200 million in legal fees plus additional damages, accusing him of legal malpractice so severe it nearly destroyed the organization he represented for more than six years.
