DELPHOS — The St. John’s baseball crew used a 4-run third inning to propel the Blue Jays by Continental 8-3 in Division IV sectional play on a wet Tuesday at Stadium Park. After falling behind 1-0 in the top of the third frame, the Jays (13-12) rallied in the home half against Pirate (1-15) starter Sam Newsome. Tyler Lindeman led off with a walk and advanced on consecutive wild pitches. Tyce McClain walked and stole second. Both teams entered the fray undefeated in league play, with the Lancer girls 7-0 and Ada 6-0. The Lady Bulldogs were seeking their first-ever conference softball title in their last year as a member of the NWC.
