Mother Accused of Killing Baby in 2021 Pleads Not Guilty
(KNSI) – A woman accused of killing her baby boy has pleaded not guilty. Fardoussa Omar Abdillahi made a court appearance over Zoom on Monday from the Wright County Jail, where she pleaded not guilty to charges of first and second-degree murder. A pre-trial hearing is set for July 31st. Abdillahi’s lawyer waived her omnibus hearing and speedy trial demand.

Woman Injured In Scooter Crash in Rockville
(KNSI) – A woman is hurt after crashing a moped-style scooter in Rockville over the weekend. First responders were called around 11:00 a.m. on Saturday to an accident with injuries on Stearns County Road 140. The sheriff’s office says Shayna Leigh St. Onge was driving a 2006 KYMCO scooter around a curve. Investigators say she lost control and drove into the south ditch.

New Waite Park Police Chief to be Sworn In Monday

Village Family Service Center Hosts Girls 360 Starting June 29th
(KNSI) — The Village Family Service Center is hosting a Girls 360 group for teens starting later this month. The group is for young women between 13 and 17 to educate them on a full spectrum of topics impacting their lives. It’s aimed at those who need help with self-esteem, building a positive self-image, healthy and safe relationships, increasing their assertiveness, and understanding decision making and reasonable risk taking.
Stearns County Will Seek County Road 1 Speed Study
SARTELL (WJON News) -- Transportation planners will ask the Minnesota Department of Transportation for a speed study on a corridor linking Sartell to St. Cloud. The Stearns County Board will be asked to approve a resolution for a speed study on County Road 1, also known as River Avenue North. It's part of a larger study of the road between 9th Avenue in St. Cloud and County Road 120 in Sartell.
