ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- A Sauk Rapids woman is accused of using her car to injure a man during an altercation in St. Cloud on Sunday. Thirty-two-year-old Kiri Roering is accused of using her car to pin a man up against a second vehicle, leaving him with a leg injury.
Becker Is Battle Tested Heading to State Tourney
The Becker softball team is back in the state tournament this season after missing it last year. The Bulldogs won the Class 3-A softball title in 2021. Jason Baune is the head coach for Becker. He says the kids put in a lot of hard work and for the them to get this opportunity is rewarding and a fun experience.

FREEPORT, Minn. (FOX 9) - The first stop on the 2023 FOX 9 Town Ball Tour brings us to the Freeport Black Sox on Wednesday, June 7. The Black Sox will host the Avon Lakers, with the first pitch at 6:30 p.m., at Black Sox Park, which opened in 2006. The Black Sox used to play in Melrose, but moved to Freeport in 2005. Freeport hosted the regionals last year, and are hoping to get there again this year.

Sartell, Foley Baseball Take Steps Toward State
The Sartell-St. Stephen baseball team has advanced to the section 8-4-A after posting a 11-7 win over Rogers in Rogers Tuesday. The Sabres scored 4 runs in the 7th inning to break a 7-all tie. Dylan Simones went 2-3 with 2 runs scored and 3 RBI, and Kade Lewis went 2-5 with 3 RBI. Tyler Phel Hemmesch started the game for the Sabres. He threw 5 innings with 5 earned runs allowed with 10 strikeouts. Wesley Johnson threw the last 2 innings with 1 earned run allowed to get the win. Sartell will play either Rogers or Elk River in the section 8-4-A final in Cold Spring Thursday at 4:30 p.m.

Rogers Man Gets 180 Days for St. Cloud Mosque Break-In
(KNSI) — A 24-year-old Rogers man was sentenced to 180 days in jail for breaking into the St. Cloud Islamic Center last year. Logan Oliver Smith and another woman went to the building in September 2022 in the middle of the night while high on drugs. They vandalized and desecrated the building, including holy objects near the altar. They were tracked back to a local hotel room and arrested the next day.
