I-40 reopens following power line work across highway, Winston-Salem officers say
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. — Officers with the Winston-Salem police said I-40 has reopened following power line work. Police said the closure began at 2:30 p.m. Eastbound I-40 traffic was stopped at Thomasville Road and westbound traffic was stopped prior to the 311/74 interchange. Northbound 311/I-74 traffic coming into Winston-Salem was shut down prior to the westbound I-40 ramp, according to police.
