    Woman shot at Winston-Salem tavern; injuries life-threatening, police say

    WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. (WGHP) — A woman is suffering from life-threatening injuries as the result of a shooting at a tavern on Sunday morning, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.

    At around 2:07 a.m. on Sunday, officers came to CB’s Tavern at 3870 Bethania Station Road after getting a report of a shooting.

    The victim, a 37-year-old Winston-Salem woman, had already been taken to the hospital before the police arrived.

    Police say that the victim’s injuries are considered to be life-threatening.

    The WSPD’s Criminal Investigations Division has assumed investigative responsibility for the shooting. The investigation remains active and ongoing.
