Suspect on the run after assaulting man in Hoke County, deputies say
RAEFORD, N.C. (WNCN) – Hoke County deputies are investigating after a man was taken to the hospital following an assault on Monday night. According to the Hoke County Sheriff’s Office, deputies and EMS crews responded at around 9:10 p.m. to the 400 block of Koppers Drive in Raeford about an assault. When deputies arrived on scene, they found the victim suffered “multiple lacerations” and EMS transported him to a nearby hospital for further treatment, the sheriff’s office said.

Florence man receives double life sentence for fatal 2020 shooting
LUMBERTON, N.C. (WPDE) — Xavier Green of Florence pled guilty to two counts of murder during a hearing on Tuesday, according to Robeson County District Matthew Scott. Police said Green shot and killed two women in July 2020 outside the Family Dollar on East 5th Street in Lumberton.
