    15-year-old shot during SE Portland fight

    PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN ) — A 15-year-old was shot during a large altercation in Southeast Portland early Wednesday morning, authorities said.

    Just after 3 a.m., Portland police said they responded to a shooting call that came from a local hospital.

    At the hospital, police said they learned that there had been a fight between a group of people who knew each other near Southeast 130th Avenue and Southeast Sherman Street.

    During the incident, police said at least one person fired a gun and a 15-year-old was hit.

    The 15-year-old was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and police said that one person was taken into custody.

    No other details were immediately released. The investigation is ongoing.
