2 dead, 1 injured in Adams County crash
Two people are dead and one person was injured this week in a crash in the Adams County town of Lincoln, police said. The two-vehicle crash was reported at about 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of County Hwy. M and County Hwy. G. One of the drivers, 83-year-old Jane Kronschnabel, of Montello, was pulled from the vehicle and was flown by medical helicopter to a hospital. She died of her injuries, officials said.

The Wisconsin Baseball Coaches Association has announced its 2024 Hall of Fame Class:. Bob Gawlitta has been a great ambassador of baseball, not only at Lincoln High School in Wisconsin Rapids where he has coached at since 1994, but statewide in his service to the WBCA as a former Vice-President, President, a current District Rep for the North Central District. He also chairs the WBCA Scholarship Committee, something he has done since the WBCA began awarding scholarships. His record as a coach speaks for itself. Going into 2024, he amassed 371 victories, won four conference titles, eight Regional titles and a Sectional title. He continues working with Rapids youth programs and hosting clinics in addition to his WBCA and head coaching duties.
