58-year-old woman dies in one-vehicle crash Friday in Adams County
PRESTON − A 58-year-old woman is dead after a one-vehicle accident Friday night in Adams County. The crash happened about 10 p.m. in the 1500 block of State 13 in the town of Preston. The initial report to dispatch said a vehicle had gone into some trees and was smoking, and the driver was not responsive and was trapped in the vehicle, according to a news release from the Adams County Sheriff's Office.

16-year-old girl dead after Wisconsin Rapids fire
A 16-year-old girl and her dog perished this week in a fire at her Wisconsin Rapids home, officials confirmed this week. The blaze broke out May 21 at a home on 11th Street. Heavy smoke and flames were pouring from the first and second levels of the home when crews arrived.
Midstate Independent Living Choices to host adapted kayaking event
STEVENS POINT – Midstate Independent Living Choices in partnership with. Northward Peddle and Paddle will host in June their 17th annual Adapted Kayaking event. This free event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 29 at Nepco Lake County Park in Wisconsin Rapids to promote accessible kayaking for people with disabilities.
2 people injured in Portage County motorcycle crash
PORTAGE COUNTY, Wis. (WSAW) - Two people were injured in a motorcycle crash in the town of Grant on Sunday evening. According to a press release, Portage County deputies were called to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Cty Rd WW, just east of 110th St around 6:30 p.m. Sunday. When crews arrived, they determined the driver of the motorcycle lost control and left the south edge of the road. The motorcycle entered a field and overturned, ejecting both the driver and passenger.
