2024 IHSAA Boys Golf State Qualifiers
(Boone, IA) – The IHSAA has released all the golfers that will be headed to State to compete on some of the toughest courses that these boys will see all year. In Class 1A, Sidney will be bringing the team to the Ames Golf and Country Club while CAM’s Chase Jahde will be headed to the state tournament after qualifying last year. In Class 2A, both Panorama and Treynor will be headed to the state tournament Jade Spangler of Shenandoah and Parker Ellingboe of Des Moines Christian will also be going to the state tournament. For Class 3A, Gilbert will be traveling to the Veenker Memorial Golf Course with Atlantic’s Hudson McLaren. You can find all of the state qualifiers listed below.
GrCo school board okays bond counsel for solar project, also ups pay for non-teaching staff
The Greene County Community School District is moving forward with a solar energy project to curb electricity costs at the district’s three school building. Superintendent Brett Abbotts reported at the board’s May 8 meeting he has spoken with staff from Modus Engineering and OPN about the proposed solar energy project. He said the board will discuss hiring a project manager at the June meeting.
