It sounds like Philadelphia Eagles first-round pick Quinyon Mitchell has already earned head coach Nick Sirianni's stamp of approval.

The Eagles kicked off rookie minicamp on Friday and Sirianni liked what he saw from the Toledo product.

"You saw the burst and quickness that we saw on tape of why we drafted him in the first round," Sirianni told reporters following minicamp, via NBC Sports Dave Zangaro. "Made a couple of nice plays on the ball today out there with some 7-on-7 speed."

Of course, it wasn't a full-padded NFL practice that he will see in training camp, but it still counts.

Hours before the draft kicked off it was rumored that the Eagles would trade up to grab Mitchell in the first round. But they didn't have to as he fell right in their lap at No. 22 overall.

Mitchell is projected to start opposite veteran cornerback Darius Slay if things go well throughout the offseason. That leaves many wondering what the Eagles plan to do with Slays old partner, James Bradberry. It will be too expensive to release Bradberry, so the Eagles could still be trying to trade him.

But one thing we know for sure is that if Mitchell keeps impressing Sirianni throughout the summer, then Bradberry's days as an Eagle are long gone.
