Snowshoe Hike at Holmboe March 5
The public is invited to join Northwoods Land Trust (NWLT) for a free guided snowshoe walk from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Thursday, March 5 at the Holmboe Conifer Forest State Natural Area in Rhinelander. According to Frank Schroyer, NWLT Land Conservation Associate, “This 38-acre property along the Pelican River has been welcoming the public since it became a conservation area 1965, and later a designated State Natural Area. It is a great venue to snowshoe among old-growth hemlocks and see what other animal signs we can find along the way.”

ANTIGO, Wis. (WSAW) - Dixie Lunch, a downtown Antigo diner that has operated under the same family for 80 years, is changing owners for the first time in its history. In 1945, Purple Heart recipient Ed Ourada purchased Dixie Lunch. His family has run the diner since, building it into a community staple known for homemade food made from old family recipes and a family-feel atmosphere. Ed was known to give regular customers Christmas presents with a Dixie Lunch theme.
