A 17-year-old boy was shot to death in a San Marcos parking lot, authorities said Thursday. The fatal shooting occurred in a parking lot in the 900 block of Los Vallecitos Boulevard, just west of the San Marcos Boulevard off-ramp of state Route 78, about 11:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to the San Diego County Sheriff's Department.

Authorities have publicly identified one of four people killed last week in a late-night traffic crash on a rural road near Pala Mesa Resort. Hope Wood, 48, was a passenger in a westbound Jeep Gladiator pickup truck that was struck head-on by an eastbound Chrysler 300 sedan on State Route 76 just east of Horse Ranch Creek Road in the Pala area about 11:15 p.m. Friday, according to the San Diego County Medical Examiner’s Office.
LBPD: Temecula Man Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Man in Long Beach
A man who allegedly shot and killed another man in Long Beach was taken into custody in Temecula, police said Thursday. The crime occurred about 12:10 a.m. May 8 in the 800 block of Atlantic Avenue, according to the Long Beach Police Department. Tyrone Parks III, 28, of Long Beach died at the scene, police said.

Another Southern California community has cause for concern after a hidden camera was found planted in one neighborhood, an issue that they fear isn't being taken seriously by law enforcement.
