Orlando Magic Coach Uses One Word To Describe Paolo Banchero After Amazing Performance

The Orlando Magic were on the wrong end of the scoreboard when the clock hit triple zeros on Sunday.

They ended up losing in the first round of the NBA Playoffs to the No. 4 seed Cleveland Cavaliers, but it wasn't because their young star Paolo Banchero didn't show up. The former No. 1 overall pick and Duke product tried to put the team on his back, leading them in just about every stat imaginable.

He finished the game with team-highs in points with 38, rebounds with 16, steals with 3, and also added a block. He did so on 35% shooting from the field and 50% from deep, while the rest of the starting five shot a combined 23% from the field and 35% from three.

As one could imagine, his head coach Jamahl Mosley was quite pleased with the performance from Banchero, and while their season ended, was quite complimentary.

The head coach only needed one word to describe Banchero's showing, which was "special."

He also highlighted just how impressive of a season the sophomore star had for Orlando which included being named to the All-Star team. Banchero also had three 30+ point nights in his first playoff experience and was able to go blow-for-blow with one of the league's best scorers in Donovan Mitchell.
