Dewine announces $152 million in development projects for southern Ohio
Ohio (WCHS) — Gov. Mike Dewine is set to visit several cities along the Ohio River Monday to announce $152 million in development projects. Dewine, along with Lt. Governor Jon Husted and Department of Development Lydua Mihalik will visit Portsmouth, Proctorville and Marietta next week to announce the latest round of the Appalachian Community Grant Program, according to a news release from the governor’s office.

Two men arrested following pursuit, standoff situation
HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Two men were arrested late Tuesday, April 30, after a pursuit and standoff at a home in the 200 block of Oney Avenue in Huntington. Members of the Huntington Violent Crime Drug Task Force and the Huntington Police Department’s Patrol Bureau located a vehicle at the intersection of 28th Street and 8th Avenue that had been reported stolen on April 29.
Investigators ask for public assistance in Cabell County arson investigation

Midland track star sets new shot put record
ONA, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Cabell Midland senior Michael Lunsford is now in select company in the shot put. Over the weekend, he broke Randy Barnes’ record of 66 feet and 9.5 inches with a throw of 68 feet and 6 inches at the Tudor’s Charleston Relays. It had been a record that was set back in 1985.
