Weycker Stifles Thundering Herd in 12-2 Run Rule Win
HUNTINGTON, W.VA. – Coastal Carolina left-handed pitcher Henry Weycker stifled the Marshall Thundering Herd in a 12-2 10-run rule eight-inning win on Friday afternoon in Huntington, W.V., as the Chants clinched the Sun Belt Conference series. With the win, the Chanticleers improved to 32-21 overall and 15-14 in SBC action, while the Herd fell to 18-36 on the season and 9-20 in the conference.

Chants Knock Off Thundering Herd 6-3 on Thursday
HUNTINGTON, W.VA. – The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers knocked off the Marshall Thundering Herd 6-3 on Thursday evening in Huntington, W.V., for the Chants’ eighth straight win over the Herd. With the win, the Chanticleers improved to 31-21 on the season and 14-14 in Sun Belt action, while Marshall dropped to 18-35 overall and 9-19 in league play with the loss.
Baseball Game Recap: Minford Find Success
Minford entered their tilt with Fairland with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Fairland Dragons on Tuesday. This was payback for Minford, who suffered a 10-3 loss the last time these two teams met.
Buffalo softball punches ticket to state tournament
BUFFALO, W.VA. (WCHS) — In Class A, Buffalo doubled up Ravenswood 6-3 to advance to the state tournament. Buffalo will face Petersburg in game two on Wednesday, May 22. Kelsey Brock had a pair of hits for Buffalo, including a triple and it was also a two-hit night for the Bison's Kimmie Dillman. Brooke Meadows hit two doubles for Ravenswood.
