The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the New Orleans Pelicans, 124-95, to extend their series lead to two games on Wednesday night at the Paycom Center.

The Thunder were led by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, who scored 33 points on 13-of-19 shooting, five assists, two steals, and three rebounds. Chet Holmgren contributed 26 points, seven rebounds, and two blocks.

Following the Thunder's Game 2 win, Holmgren raved about his teammate Gilgeous-Alexander during his postgame interview with TNT. He also declared that Gilgeous-Alexander should be named the MVP this season.

"I got one more thing to say... But this is the MVP right here," Holmgren said. "MVP of the league. I'm going to say it for him because he won't say it."

Gilgeous-Alexander averaged 30.1 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 6.3 assists per game for the Thunder this season. He also made his second consecutive All-Star appearance and is set to earn All-NBA honors in back-to-back seasons.

Game 3 of the first-round series between the Thunder and Pelicans will be broadcast on TNT on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. CT.
