Brandon Aiyuk remains one of the best wide receiver options on the NFL trade market.

On Thursday, reports indicated that the San Francisco 49ers are willing to work out a trade for their superstar pass catcher. While nothing has materialized just yet, trade rumors continue to swirl around the NFL world.

Jayden McDaniels, Aiyuk's former college teammate at Arizona State, was selected by the Washington Commanders with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

After he was selected, Daniels shared an enlightening comment about his personal relationship with Aiyuk.

“Brandon Aiyuk a lot,” Daniels said of who he leans on in the league, via Commanders insider Nicki Jhabvala. “I talk to him three or four times a day almost every day. So I lean on him a lot. He’s he’s done it at a high level for four-plus years and going on his fifth year, so I’m excited just to learn from him and try to get some game, but also just coming in and get to learn from my teammates now. They started it off and I’m happy I get to follow them.”

Understandably, the Aiyuk-to-Washington rumors are in full swing.

"We’re about to trade for Aiuk, aren’t we?" one fan asked.

"Do what you gotta do to get Aiyuk @Commanders," another said.

"If AP pulls off a trade for Aiyuk and only gives up 1 or 2 second round picks I’d do a backflip and probably break my neck," another added.

"BRING HIM TO DC ADAM PETERS," another wrote.

Aiyuk and Daniels had one season of overlap as teammates at Arizona State (2019) during their respective college careers. With Daniels as his QB, Aiyuk reeled in 65 catches for 1,192 yards and eight touchdowns.

If the Commanders are able to get Aiyuk at a reasonable price, Washington fans would no doubt be thrilled by this QB/WR reunion.
