New CFB Head Coach Pledges To ‘Remain The Same’ Following Historic Season

Typically a new coach will attempt to make their presence felt when inheriting a new program, but Michigan Wolverines’ head coach Sherrone Moore says he plans on staying consistent.

While Moore will be tasked with following up a legacy left by his predecessor Jim Harbaugh, he does not plan on changing the team’s goals from the 2023 championship-winning season.

“I think the goals always stay the same,” Moore stated to media at Schembechler Hall in April. “The goals are to beat our rivals. Win the Big Ten. Beat Ohio State. Make the Playoff, win the Playoff. So the goals stay the same, and the process in which we do things will stay the same.”

With the Wolverines losing a majority of the offensive starters from the 2023 national championship campaign, the program’s goals may be a bit harder to achieve without some of last year’s stars.

“The people are different. The people are always different, every year. So we’re just going to attack the process every day, do it how we know best and put our heads down and work,” Moore said.

The Wolverines have a target on their backs from Big Ten foes and the college football landscape. Moore is currently 4-0 as a head coach for Michigan including a win over arch-rivals Ohio State. We’ll have to wait and see if Moore can keep his undefeated streak alive in his first full-time season as head coach.
