Kevin Garnett Predicts Massive NBA Playoff Upset on Saturday Night

Former Timberwolves superstar Kevin Garnett has taken a keen interest in Anthony Edwards and Minnesota throughout this year's NBA Playoffs.

Edwards' rise to becoming one of the best basketball players on the planet has propelled the Wolves to the second round of the postseason. Minnesota now has a date with Nikola Jokic and the defending champion Denver Nuggets.

Game 1 of the Timberwolves-Nuggets series is Saturday night. Denver is at home, so the expectation is that Jokic and Co. will make a statement in front of their home crowd and win Game 1. They're currently 4.5-point favorites.

However, Garnett is predicting a major upset. The NBA legend is taking Edwards and the Timberwolves to upset Jokic and the Nuggets to get the Game 1 victory.

“This going to be the most watched series (Denver/T-Wolves) of all series… I’m taking the Wolves in the first game," Garnett said.

"I’m unavailable for anybody looking for me today. This series gon be electric lord. I’m taking my Young Wolves to steal game 1 in Denver. Ant-Man handled business against KD and look for that confidence to roll over to this series."

NBA fans and experts alike believe the Timberwolves have the size to challenge the Nuggets' bigs. Karl-Anthony Towns and Rudy Gobert have to slow down Jokic and Aaron Gordon for the Wolves to have a chance.

But the series will likely come down to Edwards and his ability to weave through the Denver defense. If he can continue to play up to his standard, Denver's in trouble.

Game 1 of the Nuggets-Timberwolves series is Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET on TNT.
