The Tri-County Reporter previously reported that a Weatherford nonprofit claimed to have witnessed the Northern Lights during the April 8 eclipse. Nick Baczewski, the Noble Planetarium Manager at the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, responded to the newspaper April 15 to explain the phenomenon witnessed by Operation Texas Strong staff.
Springtown sending plenty to regional track
The Springtown Porcupines followed up their District 8-4A track championship by winning the 7/8-4A Area Meet April 10. And, just as they did at district, they hosted the meet. Meanwhile, the Lady Pines finished third as both teams will be sending plenty of representatives to the 4A Region I Meet in Lubbock this week. The top four finishers in each event qualified.
