Following discussions between City and County staff, as well as votes by the City Council and Commissioners Court, in late March a right turn lane is being added to Old Acton Highway where it intersects State Highway 4.
Bluff Dale ISD student arrested for terroristic threat charges
According to the Erath County Sheriff’s Office, there has been an ongoing investigation involving a juvenile student at the Bluff Dale Independent School District. Last week the School Resource Deputy with the Bluff Dale ISD received information that a juvenile student, while at school, made a threatening statement directed toward the school. The statement that was made raised safety concerns of faculty to the degree that there was a necessity to report the incident to the school administration.

A Stephenville High School freshman dies in ATV accident, sheriff’s office says.
A freshman at Stephenville High School was killed shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday when an ATV he was riding on crashed on FM 205. Chief Deputy Jeremy Woodruff with the Erath County Sheriff’s Office said the 15-year-old victim was a passenger on the 4-wheeler and was ejected when it crashed while trying to manipulate a curve.

McDonald's is Testing a New Restaurant Concept, and The First Location is in North Texas
McDonald’s is trying out a new approach to its drive-through restaurant model, and the fast food chain picked North Texas as its testing grounds. The new restaurant, which opened on Dec. 1 in White Settlement, is designed around mobile orders and has a drive-through lane for customers who place their orders through the McDonald’s app. Mobile orders come out on a conveyor belt for quick grab-and-go service.
Drone video shows 119-year-old tabernacle destroyed by Texas tornado
PARKER COUNTY – A 119-year-old tabernacle in Parker County in North Texas was destroyed by a tornado that moved through the area on Friday. The Weatherford Democrat reported that the building in Poolville, a city about an hour northwest of Fort Worth, was used by the Poolville Global Methodist Church and community members for church services, funerals and celebrations.
