Fairfield Police Arrest Paterson Resident on Shoplifting Charges
FAIRFIELD, NJ -- Fairfield police arrested a Paterson man on shoplifting charges on Monday. Police apprehended Gary Davis, 67. Officers were dispatched to the Target store at 2:31 p.m. Monday on a report of a shoplifter in custody. Officers Ryan Cleary and John Seragusa arrived at the store and located Davis being detained by security.CLICK HERE TO SIGN UP FOR THE FREE TAPINTO.NET NEWSLETTER Davis allegedly arrived at the store, placed miscellaneous items in a shopping cart, and attempted to exit the store without paying. He was stopped prior to exiting by security and detained until police arrival. The total value shoplifted was $525.34. North Jersey home built by founder of Time and Life magazines listed for $5.8 million
A 50-acre estate in Chester Township developed by 20th-century media mogul Henry R. Luce was listed last month for $5.8 million. The estate, financed nearly 90 years ago by Luce, the founder of Time, Life, Fortune and Sports Illustrated magazines, is centered on a 13,820-square-foot stone mansion. Complete with a towering turret, the home is a great mix of old and new, said agent Arlene Gonnella of Weichert Realtors.

WESTFIELD, NJ — Two Westfield residents told police last week that the catalytic converters were stolen from their vehicles, Westfield police said Tuesday.
