Rexburg Pride ups security after protests last year
The Rexburg LGBTQ+ community is preparing for its annual pride celebration this Saturday. Local News 8 has learned at least one group of protesters plans to be at the event, those protesters linked to a recognized hate group that attended last year.
Lewisville Students participate in FFA State Conference
LEWISVILLE — This is the week for the groundwater sampling event, which assesses the groundwater quality in Lewisville. To have your drinking water tested, simply follow these two steps: 1) Pick up a bottle and instructions at the Lewisville Community Center on Saturday, June 15, between the hours of 10 a.m. and 12 noon, and pay $55 for the analysis. 2) Collect water sample and drop it off on Monday, June 17, from 6–8 p.m. at the Community Center. Each sample will be assigned a distinct number, correlating with the location and well owner information. County passes SOS primary election audit
BONNERS FERRY — A June 2 state audit of the primary election, which included Boundary County, found no errors, according to Idaho Secretary of State officials. The county and four of its voting precincts were selected for the audit, which was drawn by random by the Board of Canvassers in the Idaho State Capitol Building.
UPDATE: Power restored after outage affects Idaho Falls and surrounding areas
IDAHO FALLS — EastIdahoNews.com is receiving reports of recurring power outages throughout the Idaho Falls area. The outages started around 3 p.m. Thursday. It is unknown how many people the outage is affecting. Idaho Falls spokesperson Eric Grossarth says a switch tripped at one of the substations and crews are working to figure out why.
