Konie Baldwin, grandmother of 14, received her associate degree at Ricks College 42 years ago. Now, at the age of 62, she has graduated with a bachelor’s of Business Management, after returning to school for four years of online study with BYU-Idaho. She was one of 2,975 graduates this semester.

Officials investigating string of machinery and storage container thefts around eastern Idaho
IDAHO FALLS — Multiple local machinery and towing companies have been on edge this month after someone allegedly stole over $73,500 worth of equipment from them. Mark Hinds, owner of Liberty Container Services in Rigby, says he woke up on July 11 to find a 40-foot light grey shipping container, a skid steer, skid steer attachments, new fencing panels, hand tools, and a wheel kit to move storage containers were gone.
New mocktail bar brings active night life to downtown Rexburg
REXBURG – Sometimes you want to go where everybody knows your name … or at least the type of environment you enjoy hanging out in. The latter is the focus of a new mocktail bar at 32 College Avenue in Rexburg called Fizz Rizz. The non-alcoholic bar opened July 4 and offers daiquiris, pina coladas, margaritas, flavored sodas and more. It also has pool tables and arcade games. A space to have dances and live performances is in the works.

The New Source of Smoke Over Southern Idaho
A line of thundershowers cleared the air briefly, but we woke up Friday morning in the Magic Valley under a shroud of smoke. It’s probably not from any of the lightning strikes Thursday evening, or not all of it is related to new fires. One of the biggest blazes in Idaho is burning in Central/Western Owyhee County. The Silver Fire was first reported on Wednesday. According to the Idaho Fire Map, it looks to be among the largest currently roasting in the state. It doesn’t appear to rival the multiple blazes scorching eastern Oregon, but there’s a history of massive fires in Owyhee County.

Missing Man Reportedly Last Seen On South Idaho River
The family of an Idaho man has contacted police after not having heard from him for nearly a week. The missing man was last seen on a southern Idaho river. The sister of a missing Idaho man recently shared information on the state's Missing Persons Alerts Facebook page.
