Be prepared for fog in Central NY Monday morning
A weather alert was issued by the National Weather Service on Monday at 5:31 a.m. for fog until 8 a.m. for Madison, Oneida and Cortland counties. "Areas of locally dense fog have developed overnight, particularly in valley locations near and east of the I-81 corridor. Visibility will be reduced to 1/4 mile or less at times before the fog lifts later this morning. Interstate 88 and nearby secondary routes will be particularly foggy. Remember to use low beam headlights even after daybreak when driving in foggy conditions," states the weather service.
