Minimal damage, no injuries in Lansing fire
LANSING, N.Y. (WHCU) – No injuries and minimal damage after a structure fire in Lansing. The Lansing Fire Department was called to a house in North Lansing just before noon on Tuesday for a report of smoke coming from the wall. Firefighters located a chimney fire that had only slightly expanded into the two-story home. Responding units were on-scene for a couple of hours.

Ithaca State Police Seek Local Help in Identifying YMCA Car Theft Suspect
The Ithaca State Police are asking for public assistance to identify a suspect in a car theft case from November 16, 2023. The theft occurred at the YMCA on Graham Road in Lansing, where a car was broken into and a wallet was stolen. The thief smashed the passenger window to get inside the car. The stolen wallet had a debit card, which was later used to try to withdraw money from the victim's account.
