PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Wednesday. We’ve seen another day featuring a mixture of weather types. After starting with some fog this morning, cloud cover stuck around for some towns into the early afternoon hours. Other spots that saw sunshine earlier in the day were some of the first towns to see showers and thunderstorms develop this afternoon into this evening. Showers taper off tonight, with a drier day looking likely for the day tomorrow. The relative nicer weather isn’t expected to last, with additional shower chances building heading into the weekend.

PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Thursday. We’ve seen another dreary day across the region today, with rain showers and downpours working their way through the region. We’re still seeing showers and downpours this evening, with activity not expected to taper off and lighten up until later tonight. It won’t end completely heading into tomorrow, with additional lighter scattered shower chances expected. Showers continue into the start of the weekend, with the hopes of seeing some breaks in the clouds late in the day Saturday, possibly lasting into Sunday morning.

Sunshine Returns Tomorrow and Wednesday, with Shower Chances Likely Later in the Work Week
PRESQUE ISLE, Maine (WAGM) - Good evening everyone and happy Monday. We’ve seen a gloomy day for most of the day today with showers and downpours working through the region during the morning hours. Low pressure responsible for the activity continues to exit the state off to the east, leaving us with nicer weather ahead for the next couple of days. Tomorrow looks wonderful with plenty of sunshine, low humidity, and seasonable temperatures. Highs warm up even more heading into Wednesday, with instability in the atmosphere beginning to build for the afternoon hours. Right now I think showers hold off Wednesday, with the chance at seeing afternoon or evening showers more likely for Thursday. Wet weather then continues through the end of the work week.

We’ve seen another somewhat gloomy day, with a mixture of clouds, sunny breaks, and scattered showers popping up during the daytime hours, activity is expected to taper off this evening, as low pressure develops to the south of the state. This brings downstate some steadier showers over the weekend, and leave us with uncertainty in terms of how much cloud cover we end up seeing. Saturday continues to lean mostly cloudy, with Sunday featuring a better chance at sunshine during the morning.

Showers for us tapered off during the afternoon hours, with skies expected to clear out overnight tonight. We’ll see sunshine and mild temperatures for a good portion of Tuesday, before another disturbance arrives for the late afternoon hours. This brings the threat of showers and possible thunderstorms to the forecast late in the afternoon tomorrow, with chances of activity continuing into tomorrow night. We’ll remain unsettled the remainder of the work week, with lighter shower chances in store later this week.

This cold front builds towards the state tomorrow, but isn’t expected to work through until late tomorrow night into the day Wednesday. We’ll see the threat of showers and thunderstorms tomorrow, with temperatures having no problem warming up into the upper 70s and lower 80s. Additional shower chances are possible Wednesday, with the cold front bringing colder temperatures for the latter half of the work week.
