LOUDONVILLE — Ed Honabarger is returning to the Knox Morrow Athletic Conference, but he won’t be wearing the Blue and White of the Danville Blue Devils. A Danville coaching icon, Honabarger was introduced as Loudonville’s new football coach and assistant principal Friday afternoon. He succeeds John Battaglia, who recently stepped down after three seasons.
Senior Spring Extravaganza brings the ’70s to Richland County Fairgrounds
ONTARIO — Attendees of all generations were “grooving back to the ’70s” at the Richland County Fairgrounds Thursday at the annual Senior Spring Extravaganza. Ohio District 5 Area Agency on Aging serves Ashland, Crawford, Huron, Knox, Marion, Morrow, Richland, Seneca, and Wyandot counties. It has programs for people of all ages but specializes in the care of residents with disabilities or ages 62 and older.

Mansfield man who allegedly stabbed another man over an ex-girlfriend has trial pushed back
ALLEN COUNTY, OH (WLIO) - The trial for a Mansfield man who is facing charges for a March stabbing has been pushed back until September 2024. 30-year-old Rocky Hayner signed a time waiver this week, and the judge has moved the trial back to the fall. His lawyer has asked that statements that he made during interviews with law enforcement be suppressed. A hearing will be held in July to discuss that motion.
Stabbing suspect waives right to speedy trial
LIMA — A Mansfield man involved in a stabbing in March waived his constitutional right to a speedy trial at a pretrial hearing on Thursday. Rocky Hayner, 30, was indicted on one count of aggravated burglary, a first-degree felony, and two counts of felonious assault, second-degree felonies, for a stabbing that occurred at 1508 E. Fourth St. in Lima on March 5. On that day, Lima police officers found a man at the house who had multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a hospital and listed in serious but stable condition.
